The Greylag goose in Berlin have their chicks. They are growing really fast. This one is 2-3 weeks old. The parents do really dont like me in their proximity.

Aand another cormorant. On a lake in Charlottenburg this time again. The coot was all but happy the visit, but the cormorant just wanted to rest a little bit.

Bearded Tit
Bearded Tit, or bearded reedling. I really like this bird, its colorful and has a nice contrast. It lives hidden in the reed. Your only chance to have a clear view is to wait at the end of an reed-field for them to appear to enjoy some sun.
Starlings Returned
Welcome back dear starlings. They are sitting on my balcony and singing. Soon they will built a nest – as they did last year. Gosh its so hard to take a good picture of a really dark bird.
Northern Gannet
One of multiple posts for this animal in the near future. I brought quite some nice picture from helgoland with me. They are currently building their nests and mating.
All of this are free birds, of course.
Oystercatcher
Or to be precise: Eurasian oystercatcher. The first of the birds I shoot during my stay at Helgoland, and definitely one of the “character birds” of the island. You can see and hear them everywhere. They are pretty big, but hard to photograph because of the black/white contrast. You can choose to fail-exposure the black or the white. But apart from that: pretty birds.

Beautiful evening. A pair of canada goose relaxed in the golden sun.
Greenfinch
Some greenfinches (Chloris chloris) sitting in their lookouts and singing to attract the females.
Reed Bunting
A reed bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) is soaked by the rain. Its searching for small snails, insects and worms in the wet ground.
Washing Programm
A reed bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) is soaked by the rain. It enter the dry programme and rotates fast to get the feathers dry again. Shoot in Wuhle, Marzahn.
My Home
This tree sparrow find a home, and a partner. – Perfect Day for birdy.
Wrong Place
This grey heron appears to have missed his nest. The choosen “partner” dont really seem to approve. Currently there are 8 pairs of herons breeding in the reed of karow.

Long-Tailed Tit
A Long-Tailed Tit (Aegithalos caudatus) does the weirdest wrenches to reach the food.
Courtship display
One of -the- species I am associating Courtship display is the great crested grebe. The male is bringing a present, then they imitate each others movements, they “dance”. After a while they start to run over the water, close together. Iam still waiting for a good shot of this last impressive step.
Flying Diamond
An Kingfisher, the flying diamond. Finally I got a better picture of him. Its really hard to get close enough. He is very small, and very shy. I think he didn’t see me because i was sitting in the reed.
Nesting Coot
The coot (Fulica atra) is preparing its nest. Currently there are no eggs, but I guess there will be in a week.
Multi Reflections
This two Canadian geese sitting in a reflection of the sun 2 big far away windows were creating on the water while being illuminated on the front by the late evening sun.

A cormorant visited my in Schlosspark Charlottenburg while I was waiting for a kingfisher to appear. (But he didn´t came.).
Starting Swan
The swan swom out of a small canal on the big river “spree” – looked around – and started on the big runway.
