Reflections
I only had a 500mm lense with me and wanted to photograph a nice reflection. I ended up doing this from 200m away xD

Black Kite
A pair of black kites over Stangenhagen close to Berlin. Usally they prefer flying like 300m up and the pictures only work as “oh black bird in bright sky” type of stuff. So, was happy to see them rather further down this time :)
First Cranes
The first migrating cranes gather together with the local ones. Today I already counted 500. I guess there are around 5000 cranes in the area. In a month there will be 130.000.
American mink
We have wild americans here in Stangenhagen. Somewhat cute this “sleeve-animal”.

Red Kite
Red Kites are beautiful birds. They have very long wings in comparison to their “small body” which is around the same size as an bussard. They eat everything they find and is not dirt or a plant. In this case a farmer was in the process of mowing his grass. And all birds of prey love when this is happening.
Deer
Edge of the forest – and Edge of a Reed-field. With the sun being very close to the ground and announcing the evening this deer gives a brief visit.

Linum – Lightbath

The sun rises over the fields, bathes everything in golden light. Goose greet the light and prepare to take off.
Currently more than 100.000 cranes and countless of gooses roost here for a few weeks before moving on south for overwinter survival.
Birdsky

Moments before the Sun rises on the horizon first masses of cranes getting airborne, leaving the lakes around heading towards feeding-places around. They fly some km to harvested field to feed and come back in the evening. It took half an hour before all cranes left the place.

Getting up early in the morning at 5:30 for arriving in Linum before Sunset is somewhat taxing. But coming to this scene with the air full of the voices of geese and cranes really compensates this.

Eiche

This is an wonderful alley, street “Amundsenstrasse” in Potsdam. It leads to Potsdam-Eiche and Potsdam-Golm.
Unfortunately its quiet busy so its rather hard to find a moment to take a picture. I would *really* enjoy some fog in there, but, you cant wish for everything.
Dining Hall

This is where the hungry come to feed… It was used as dining-hall and place for small-presentations. This is inside a tuberculosis-sanatorium and was , as you can see (colors, themes), in the hand of different occupying forces.
Flood

Accidentally I was in the Region of Rathenow short time after floodwaters. Lots of field were flooded creating big areas of natural, little bit surreal mirrors.
